President Trump isn't ready to wrap up a new public feud with Mitch McConnell.
The president's first tweet of the day on Thursday called out the Senate majority leader, marking the second straight day he has done so. "Can you believe that Mitch McConnell, who has screamed Repeal & Replace for 7 years, couldn't get it done," he wrote. "Must Repeal & Replace ObamaCare!"
As the New York Times reports, this all started earlier in the week when McConnell—whose wife, Elaine Chao, is Trump's transportation secretary—said that the president had "excessive expectations" about how fast legislation could be passed by Congress. First, Trump called McConnell personally to complain about the remark in what Fox News describes as a "tense" 10-minute conversation.
